ASQ Ann Arbor Section 1010 Chair's MessageDear ASQ Members, Non-Members, and Guests: Welcome to the new program year. I hope everybody is enjoying this hot and wet summer. September is just around the corner and we are pleased to announce our schedule of section events for the year 2010-2011. Please mark your calendars for the first meeting of the year. This will be a joint meeting of the Greater Detroit Section, Ann Arbor Section, and ASQ Automotive Division, and will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 5:00 P.M. at Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Michigan. The designated meeting room is: University Technology and Learning Center (UTLC). From October 2010 through May 2011, our meetings are scheduled to occur on the first Monday of the month at Cleary University, Ann Arbor Campus. Start time is 5:30p.m., refreshments are free, and everyone is welcome to attend the meeting. After thirty minutes of networking, presentations begin at 6:00p.m. and end around 7:30p.m., including the Q & A session. Detailed information about the topics and speakers for this year's presentations will be available on the events page soon.
Under the leadership of Mark A. Morris, our Education Chair, ASQ 1010 will be offering a series of refresher classes to support the certification exams, and discussion courses for continuing education. Come join us!ASQ is the world's leading membership organization devoted to quality. Section 1010 is the chapter centered in Ann Arbor. You don't need to be a member of ASQ or the section to participate in meetings, certification exams, or educational programs, but membership does provide added benefits. Most events are scheduled between September and May, though the leadership team works throughout the year, and volunteers and suggestions are always welcome. All of the currently scheduled events are at the Ann Arbor campus of Cleary University. The campus is at 3601 Plymouth Road, on the north side just west of US-23. Cleary University provides the space without charge to support ASQ Section 1010's mission. |
