Abstract
Reliability Design Validation Process
The following subjects will be covered: 1) Definition of fatigue and reliability;
2) Overview of accelerated test bogey development techniques for mechanical life testing and shaker testing;
3) Overview of reliability demonstration test methods for non-repairable components and repairable systems.

Dr. Yung-Li Lee is a leading expert on fatigue reliability and accelerated testing. He has developed
numerous new methods to improve CAE and testing technologies in durability. He was elected as an SAE Fellow in 2006, and is the Technical Fellow of Stress Lab & Durability Development with Chrysler Group LLC. He is the speaker for the Chrysler Quality Institute lecture series (CQILEC003) on Fatigue Testing and Analysis. As an Adjunct Professor at Oakland University, he also teaches graduate courses on fatigue theories and their applications. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Structural Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1984 and 1988, respectively. He has been with the SAE Fatigue Design & Evaluation Committee since 1988. He has published over 50 papers in fatigue reliability, and co-authored
the textbook Fatigue Testing and Analysis: Theory and Practice, published by Elsevier in 2005. |
